In the past, when I go to events I have to carry a bag containing my armor, a separate bag for my helmet and hold my MG-34 in my hand. After watching a youth Hockey game, I got the idea to pack everything into one bag... if I could find one big enough.

This is an Easton Hockey Monster Bag (Sku: A163781). It measures 44" x 20" x 20" which is just wide enough to lay an attached ab and code piece on its side or even a holstered E-11. The bag has a hardshelled bottom and wheels.

The bag by itself is just a large collapsing duffle bag, but I liked the stiff sides I have on my current bag so it was "mod time." I wanted the bag to have a light-weight durable frame without costing a lot so I went to the hardware store and bought a few 1/2" PVC pipes and connectors. I created a small frame that would fit inside the bag and made two dividers.
To keep everything in place, I attached foam padding to the inside of the frame and sewed covers to hide the padding.

Everything fits: Helmet, Armor, MG-34, E-ll and even a small repair kit.

I was hoping the bag would be long enough to hold the MG-34 but it came up just short. I made a cover for the visible part of the MG-34 so I will stop being harassed by the authorities.

Packed up and ready for the next event.
