Star Tours

In January of this year some friends and I visted Orlando Florida to see Disney and Universal Studios. It was a really good trip but a lot of walking. I came to the conclusion that each park has 3-4 signature rides that rock and the rest is just filler. We started each day riding the main rides and the rest of the day was seeing what else they had.

Magic Kingdom

Ruf, Ewok Girl, Glenn, Sandy and Walt Disney. Yes, there is a seagull on Walt's head.

Mickey's tribute to Tron. There is a wide variety of Mickey's outside of Disney's Magic Kingdom. I am a Tron fan so...

MGM Studios

Twilight Zone's Tower of Terror is the second best ride I have ridden and is by far the best Disney has to offer.

Aerosmith's Rockin' Roller Coaster is the best indoor rollercoaster there is. You strap yourself into what looks like a stretched limo and literally launch down the track.

The Ewok Village outside of Star Tours. The answer to whether they would let me walk around on it is "No".

Star Tours. They must have spent more on the AT-AT than the ride itself... no, really!

Ewok Village at Disney's MGM Studios. Have I mentioned that the Star Tours ride was a big disappointment. They strap a lap belt around you and then drop you on your stomach. I hurt too bad the rest of the ride to even think about how bad it actually was.

More of the Ewok Village outside of Star Tours.

Our friend Sandy defending Slave Quarters in Mos Eisley.

Inside Star Tours. The droids are pretty cool. The answer to whether I could take one home was "No".

Inside Star Tours.

Outside of Star Tours. I knew I shouldn't have let my wife drive.

My wife's favorite character is Pluto.

For my friend Karen.

Universal Studios: Islands of Adventure

The best ride I have ever ridden. The combination of 3-D and special effects on this ride is breath taking.

Spiderman here was sitting outside the Spider-man ride taking pictures with people. What you can't see is he is perched on top of what looks like a parking meter... most impressive.

When this handsome creature asked to have me for dinner I didn't realize that I would be dinner.

The Hulk at Universal Studios. A fun but not out of the ordinary rollercoaster.

The buildings around Universal Studios are covered with cool X-Men and other Marvel Comics characters.
